Source: Purported soundboard recording, liberated Highland boot "Yes Stage '98"
Transfer: Silver CDs > EAC > Flac-8 > You
Here we have one of very few silver "factory boot" CD sets in my Yes collection. This purported soundboard recording from the Open Your Eyes tour was released by Highland as "Yes Stage '98" with catalog number HL1 90/91. Checking at forgottenyesterdays.com (and simply cross-checking with set lists from other shows on the tour) we see that these discs do not contain the complete show. Although the usual "Firebird Suite" opening appears, missing is the Open Your Eyes "Ambience Track" which was used as prelude to each performance. "Roundabout" and "Starship Trooper" have been cut from the end of the show.
The band encounters technical difficulties mid-way through "Siberian Khatru" and muddle their way through after things are resolved. The awkward moments of dead air are preserved here.
The Highland cover scans are included. It lists the second piece in Steve Howe's solo as being "Ram," when actually it is "Diary of a Man Who Vanished." It incorrectly lists "Clap" as "The Clap," as did the original version from "The Yes Album." The Yes logo is printed with a slight tilt to the right on both the front and back covers (not a faulty scan).
Disc One
01 Firebird Suite
02 Siberian Khatru (sound trouble, restart)
03 Rhythm of Love
04 America
05 Open Your Eyes
06 And You And I
07 Heart of the Sunrise
08 Mood for a Day
09 Diary of a Man Who Vanished
Disc Two
01 Clap
02 From the Balcony
03 Wonderous Stories
04 Change the World / Polonaise Piano-Keys solo
05 Long Distance Runaround / Whitefish
06 Owner of a Lonely Heart
07 I've Seen All Good People
08 Revealing Science of God
*Roundabout and Starship Trooper were played but do not appear on the Highland Recording
